Die Komödie handelt von dem Zeitungsreporter "Fletch", der verdeckt ermittelt um gute Storys zu bringen. Dabei erfindet er für sich selbst allerlei Charaktere. Die Konstruktion der Story führt von einer Fährte zur nächsten und man muss sehr aufmerksam bleiben, um nicht den Faden zu verlieren. Fletch gerät auf der Suche nach der Wahrheit in einige riskante Situationen und bleibt dabei trotzdem in einer lässigen Verfassung, was den Charme des Filmes ausmacht. Ein wirklich cooler 80'er Jahre Film! 

The comedy is about the newspaper reporter "Fletch" working undercover to bring the good stories. He invents all sorts of characters for himself. The construction of the story goes from one track to the next, you have to stay very attentive for not losing the thread. Fletch, during searching for the truth gets involved into some risky situations and remains nevertheless in a casual constitution, which creates the charm of the film. A really cool eighties movie!
