Texas, Carthage 1996. The assistant mortician Bernie Tiede is the favorite of the community. He cares lovingly for the survivors, presents them and sings in the church for Sunday. And there is Mrs. Nugent, an unpopular member of the town, very rich and very unfriendly. But Bernie makes friends with her and more and more he is taken by her, until he has no longer a life of his own. The highlight of the medal is surely that she took him into account in the testament as a sole heir, and both take many expensive trips. But Bernie can not be Nugent's servant forever. Also, he has feelings and feels pressured by her. There's something next ...

The film is often interspersed with original interviews, showing people who crossed Bernie's way and most of them side with him. He is really loved by all, except the sheriff. A refreshing portrait of an exceptionally heroic man who has made a great mistake. But in stream of the story, this error is an unavoidable element. After all, there is always something in the bush when someone is only extremely well-intentioned and does the best and never shows any side of the shadow. Here two extremes emerge, which in their effect cancel out. This is human comedy. Richard Linklater is brilliant again. And Jack Black plays with a lot of feeling.

 Texas, Carthage 1996. Der assistierende Bestatter Bernie Tiede ist der Liebling der Gemeinde. Er kümmert sich liebevoll um die Hinterbliebenen, beschenkt sie und singt auch in der Kirche zum Sonntag.  Und es gibt da Frau Nugent, ein unbeliebtes Mitglied des Ortes, steinreich und sehr unfreundlich. Doch Bernie freundet sich mit ihr an und mehr und mehr wird er von ihr eingenommen, bis er kein eigenes Leben mehr hat. Die Glanzseite der Medaille ist sicherlich, dass er von ihr im Testament als Alleinerbe berücksichtigt wurde und beide viele teure Reisen unternehmen. Doch Bernie kann nicht ewig Nugents Diener sein. Auch er hat Gefühle und fühlt sich von ihr unter Druck gesetzt. Da passiert etwas folgenschweres...

Der Film ist immer wieder mit Originalinterviews  durchzogen, die Menschen zeigen, die Bernies Weg kreuzten und die meisten schlagen sich auf seine Seite. Er wird wirklich von allen geliebt, außer vom Sheriff.  Ein erfrischend dargestelltes Porträt über  einen außergewöhnlich heldenhaften Mann, der einen großen Fehler begangen hat. Doch in der Geschichte reiht sich dieser Fehler wie ein unvermeidbares Element ein.  Schließlich ist immer etwas im Busch, wenn jemand nur extrem wohlgesonnen ist und das Beste tut und niemals irgendeine Schattenseite zeigt. Hier kristallieren sich zwei Extreme die  sich in ihrer Wirkung wieder aufheben. Das ist nun einmal die menschliche Komödie. Richard Linklater brilliert mal wieder. Und Jack Black spielt mit viel Gefühl.

When all three of them find out that their pension is canceled, because the company has to transfer the money differently, Joe comes up with stupid thoughts ... somewhen he can also convince Al. The three geezers want to attack a bank ...

A symphatic rascal comedy. The three old gentlemen grow to the heart very quickly and interact perfectly with each other. Her alibi is particularly witty and demands a lot of smile and laughter. A really beautiful film, with the message: who is smart enough, wins.

Joe, Willie und Al sind alte, beste Freunde.  Joe ist Zeuge eines Banküberfalls.  Als alle drei bei ihrer Fabrik erfahren, dass ihnen die Rente gestrichen wird, weil die Firma das Geld anders transferieren muss, kommt Joe auf dumme Gedanken...  irgendwann kann er auch Al überzeugen. Die drei Knacker wollen also eine Bank überfallen...

Eine symphatische Gaunerkomödie. Die drei alten Herren wachsen einem ganz schnell ans Herz und interagieren perfekt miteinander. Besonders geistreich ist ihr Alibi und fordert von einem viel Schmunzeln und Lacher. Ein wirklich schöner Film, mit der Botschaft: Wer clever genug ist, gewinnt.

Dom and his girlfriend Letty have vacations in Havana. It comes to a street race with Dom that he wins. Then a cyber-terrorist emerges, who drives Dom over the edge. He wanted to live a quiet life, but now he is involved in a series of crimes around the world.

Meaningless, banal shit. Soulless and brutal. Implausible non-stop action. No glimmer of intellect, of a moment that can be hold and one is able to enjoy. No recommendation! Only Charlize Theron is worth seeing.

Dom und seine Freundin Letty machen Urlaub in Havanna. Es kommt zu einem Straßenrennen mit Dom, dass er gewinnt. Dann taucht eine Cyber-Terroristin auf, die Dom irgendwie um den Verstand bringt. Denn eigentlich wollte er ein ruhiges Leben führen, doch nun wird er in  eine Reihe von Verbrechen rund um den Globus involviert.

Sinnentleerte, banale Scheiße.  Seelenlos und brutal.  Unglaubwürdige Non-Stop-Action.  Kein Schimmer von Verstand, von einem Moment , der auch nur kurz bleibt und den man genießen kann. Nicht empfehlenswert! Einzig Charlize Theron ist es wert, gesehen zu werden.

One day Tim notices that the baby can talk. It calles hisself "The Boss" and says it has an order to do. Tim wants to expose the baby, but it does not work. Instead, the parents see how Tim brings the baby to a life-threatening. Well, Tim gets grounded. Soon he learns more about the "Boss" plans and helps him with his mission ...

Successful homage to sibling love and sibling feud with lots of creative potential and crazy ideas. A rakish & sometimes frantic plot, simple humor and loving characters. Fun for all ages.

Tim Templeton bekommt einen Bruder. Dieser erscheint mit einem Taxi, in einem Anzug gekleidet. Nun hat er nicht mehr die Aufmerksamkeit seiner Eltern, weil sie ständig mit dem Baby beschäftigt sind. Eines Tages bemerkt Tim, dass das Baby sprechen kann. Es nennt sich "Der Boss" und sagt, es hätte einen Auftrag zu erledigen. Tim möchte das Baby bloßstellen, doch das gelingt nicht. Stattdessen sehen die Eltern mit an, wie Tim das Baby in Lebensgefahr bringt. Nun hat Tim Hausarrest. Bald erfährt er mehr über die Pläne vom "Boss" und hilft ihm bei seiner Mission...

Gelungene Hommage an Geschwisterliebe und Geschwisterfehde mit viel kreativem Potenzial und verrückten Ideen. Ein flotter und manchmal hektischer Plot, simpler Humor und liebenswerte Charaktere. Spaß für Groß und Klein.

The international space station ISS is on Marsmission. A Mars sample is taken on board. It turns out that it lives. So the first extraterrestrial lifeform was discovered. Through a live connection to New York children, they give the living being the name Calvin. But Calvin is not so cute. It proves to be life-threatening. Now the horror journey begins.

A claustrophobic spacethriller with many horror moments. Through the many unexpected turns constantly exciting. A good actor ensemble and a good camera. If you like thriller, you should watch this movie. But it's not the most intelligent space movie.

Die internationale Raumstation ISS ist auf Marsmission. Eine Marsprobe wird an Board genommen. Es stellt sich heraus, dass es lebt. Also wurde die erste außerirdische Lebensform entdeckt. Über eine Live-Schalte geben New Yorker Kinder dem Lebewesen den Namen Calvin. Doch Calvin ist doch nicht so süß. Er erweist sich als lebensbedrohlich. Nun beginnt die Horrorfahrt. 

Ein klaustrophobischer Weltraumthriller mit vielen Horrormomenten. Durch die vielen unerwarteten Wendungen konstant spannend. Ein gutes Schauspieler-Ensemble und eine gute Kameraführung. Wer Thriller mag, sollte diesen Film gucken. Aber nicht gerade der intelligenteste Weltraumfilm.

Jason, Billy, Kimberly, Trini and Zack discover different colored crystals in a mining area. Then they have a car accident. Surprisingly they wake up healthy at home in bed and discover that they have super powers. When they go back to the mine, they find an UFO with a robotic that tells them that they are the Power Rangers. Now they have to learn to transform themselves, which doesn't succeed first ... together they must fight against the evil Rita.

Anyone with a film experience will probably not stick to this garbage. At best made for teenagers. Very simple knitted, cliché-covered plot with hardly any surprises, a moderately acting crew (except Elizabeth Banks) and hackneyed dialogues.

Jason, Billy, Kimberly, Trini und Zack entdecken verschieden farbige Kristalle in einem Bergbaugebiet. Danach haben sie einen Autounfall. Wachen dann aber gesund zuhause im Bett auf und entdecken, dass sie Superkräfte haben. Als sie zurück zu der Mine gehen finden sie ein Ufo mit einem Roboteralien, der ihnen sagt, dass sie die auserwählten Power Rangers sind. Nun müssen sie lernen sich zu verwandeln, was ihnen erst einmal nicht gelingt... zusammen müssen sie gegen die böse Rita kämpfen.

Jeder mit Filmerfahrung wird wahrscheinlich nichts von diesem Müll halten. Allenfalls für Teenager gemacht.  Sehr einfach gestrickter, mit Klischees übersähter Plot mit kaum Überraschungen, eine mäßig gute spielende Schauspielercrew (ausgenommen Elizabeth Banks) und  abgedroschenen Dialogen.

Kenny Wells, an entrepreneur, messes up the mining business of his family. He has an inspiration during an alcoholic overthrow. He wants to search for gold in Indonesia, with the help of the renowned geologist Acosta. He hocks some of his belongings and travels to Indonesia, where he convinces Acosta of his plan. "It must be somewhere out there, you know it." After endless exploration and the passing of a dangerous malaria infection the coup succeeded and the first gold comes to the surface. From this cake everyone wants to have something and soon Kenny sees himself surrounded by the predators of the Wallstreet ...

A very successful film, very good setting and exceptional performance by McConnaughey. With some twists this film offers everything cinema has to offer. This film is pure gold! Must see!

Kenny Wells, ein Unternehmer hat den Bergbaubetrieb seiner Familie in den Sand gesetzt. Währrend eines alkoholischen Totalabsturzes hat er eine Eingebung. Er sollte in Indonesien nach Gold suchen, mit Hilfe des renommierten Geologisten Acosta. Er versetzt einiges seiner Habe und reist nach Indonesien, wo er Acosta von seinem Plan überzeugt. "Irgendwo da draußen muss es sein, du weißt es." Nach endlosem Schürfen und dem Überstehen einer gefährlichen Malaria-Infektion gelingt der Coup und das erste Gold kommt zum Vorschein. Von diesem Kuchen wollen alle etwas abhaben und bald sieht sich Kenny umringt von Raubtieren der Wallstreet...

Ein sehr gelungener Film, sehr gutes Setting und eine Ausnahmeperformance von McConnaughey. 
 Mit einigen Wendungen bietet dieser Film alles, was Kino zu bieten hat. Dieser Film ist wirklich pures Gold! Unbedingt anschauen!

Keeping Up With The Joneses

The Gaffneys get to know their new neighbors - The Jones. The Gaffneys spy on the neighbors because they think something is wrong with them. At home they find a bug. They secretly enter the house of Jones and find even more evidence that these neighbors are "not normal" ...

A rather weak comedy with little potential to stand out among all the other spy comedies. An average suburban pair meets the most elaborate spy pair, which puts the previous life in danger. Nothing new, all seen before. And the character development is so generic. Not recommended, a horseplay without wit.

 Die Gaffneys lernen ihre neuen Nachbarn kennen - Die Jones.  Die Gaffneys spionieren den Nachbarn hinterher, weil sie denken, irgendetwas stimmt mit Ihnen nicht. Zuhause finden sie eine Wanze und  sind außer sich. Sie gelangen heimlich in das Haus der Jones und finden noch mehr Beweise, dass diese Nachbarn "nicht normal" sind...

Eine eher schwache Komödie mit wenig Potenzial um sich hervorzuheben zwischen all den anderen Spion-Komödien.  Durchschnittliches Vorort-Paärchen trifft  ausgefuchstes Spionpaärchen, welches das  bisherige in ruhigen Bahnen verlaufende Leben in Gefahr bringt. Nichts neues, alles schon  einmal gesehen. Und die Figurenausarbeitung ist so A-typisch wie es nur geht.  Nicht empfehlenswert,  Klamauk ohne Geist.
