Henry engaged a music therapist and now you can experience Gabriel completely clear in mind. Namely if a piece of music was played to him, which he knows. In flashbacks, the dispute between Father and Son is set forth, which led to the fact that Gabriel left home. Henry, the father, addresses reproaches to himself and now finally begins to devote more attention to his son.

Nach 20 Jahren Funkstille zu ihrem Sohn Gabriel erhalten Henry und Helen einen Anruf aus dem Krankenhaus. Ihrem Sohn wird ein sehr großer Tumor aus dem Gehirn entfernt. Gabriels kognitive Funktionen sind stark beeinträchtigt. Er hat kein Kurzzeitgedächtnis mehr und erinnert sich nur an bestimmte Ereignisse aus den 60'er Jahren, wenn sie mit einem Song gekoppelt sind. Henry engagiert eine Musiktherapeutin und nun erlebt man Gabriel zum ersten mal wieder völlig klar im Kopf. Nämlich wenn ihm ein ihn bekanntes Musikstück vorgespielt wird. In Rückblenden wird der damalige Streit zwischen Vater und Sohn dargelegt, der dazu führte, dass Gabriel sein Elternhaus verließ und sich nicht mehr blicken ließ. Er soll wohl auch obdachlos gewesen sein. Henry, der Vater, macht sich Vorwürfe und beginnt nun endlich sich mehr auf seinen Sohn einzulassen.
Über die heilende Kraft der Musik sowie eine Homage an die Hippiezeit in Amerika und über den typischen Familienzwist während der Teenagerzeit. Ein sehr guter Film! Brachte mich zurück zu den Grateful Dead. (Seit dem Filmmarathon der erste Film, der mich zum Weinen brachte)

Both drag southward to escape the cold winter. Their survival material they stored in a shopping cart. They live in a very hostile world, always looking for food in abandoned buildings. The father shows his son how to commit suicide with the gun, in case there is no way out. Who can you trust? What sense does life have anymore? The father's role is to bring his son through the days without being overrun by cannibals.
Dark, thrilling and thought-provoking. The
book is also very good, I heard!
Es herrscht Anarchie auf der Welt. Der Großteil der Bevölkerung, der Pflanzen und der Tiere ist gestorben. Vereinzelt leben Banden, die sich durch Kannibalismus ernähren und einige, die noch nach Moralvorstellungen leben, wie die beiden Hauptprotagonisten, Vater und Sohn, welche die Mutter verloren haben, weil sie keinen Lebenssinn mehr sah. Sie ziehen mit einem Einkaufswagen Richtung Süden um dem kalten Winter zu entgehen. Sie leben in einer sehr lebensfeindlichen Welt immer auf der Suche nach Nahrung in verlassenen Gebäuden. Der Vater zeigt dem Sohn, wie man mit der Pistole Selbstmord begeht, im Falle es gibt keinen Ausweg mehr. Wem können sie trauen? Welchen Sinn hat das Leben noch? Des Vaters Aufgabe ist, seinen Sohn durch die Tage zu bringen ohne von Kannibalen überrannt zu werden.
Düster, spannend und regt zum Nachdenken an. Der Roman soll wohl auch sehr gut sein!

We are in the second half of the 21st century. The future of humanity is threatened by bad living conditions for plants, triggered by decades of pollution. Everywhere is dust in the air and the industrial economy and NASA-investments are folded. The NASA astronaut Cooper has therefore abandoned its appeal and manages a farm. He has a daughter Murphy, who discoveres mysterious signs in the sand on the floor of her room, which indicated Cooper as a binary code. There are also gaps in Murphys bookshelf representing Morse code. Through these coordinates Cooper finds the secret NASA station. The boss, Professor Brand, tolds him about a wormhole near the Saturn, through which one may reach a habitable planet and therefore they could save mankind. It has already flown a crew in this direction, but they haven't received no furhter messages. The "signs", so Brand, had come from "them". [WHOM? ALIENS?] Cooper says goodbye to his family and flies with the Crew, inter alia, Brands daughter Dr. Amelia Brand, towards the wormhole, there they dock the space shuttle to the ring spaceship "Endurance". Etcetera
Actually, I did not want to watch the film, because McConaughey's exaggerated ego, what annoys me. But the story itself is good, I wanted to see these new dimensions. Unfortunately a big disappointment. The implementing is catastrophic. These plates, pathetic dialogues! One would like boxing in the TV. Also, there are some inconsistencies: The 2-year hibernation will not even briefly illuminated, you get the impression it's just a night passed.
Furthermore, the Co-astronaut Romilly explains Cooper how a wormhole works. This he should have to know as most prestigious astronaut. Pity about the wasted money. #TBM_typical Boring_movie

Leider eine große Enttäuschung. Die Umsetzung ist katastrophal. Diese platten, pathetischen Dialoge! Man möchte am liebsten in den Fernseher boxen. Auch gibt es einige Ungereimtheiten: Der 2-Jahres-Kälteschlaf wird nicht mal kurz beleuchtet, man hat den Eindruck es ist nur eine Nacht vergangen.
Desweiteren muss der Co-Astronaut Romilly Cooper erklären, wie ein Wurmloch funktioniert. Der dies als angesehenster Astronaut wissen müsste. Schade um das verschwendete Geld. #TBM_typical boring_movie

Baymax charming dodderiness (which is the magnetic point during trailer) is soonly undermined by a battle suit and we see almost only action scenes and a stale plot, one has already seen a hundred times. Therefore, only 1 point for adults.

Tadashi zeigt ihm sein neues Projekt, ein Gesundheitsroboter namens Baymax, welcher wie ein Marshmallow aussieht. For someone who is accustomed to watch movies from not later than the 80's, this old ham is a bit too boring. Therefore, only 3 points. Although the story is very good, but the scenes are unnecessarily protracted and this leads to a slight apathy. Impressive is how the "beast", the "Jezebel" Gilda becomes a likeable lady.

Für jemanden, der fast nur Filme ab 1980 gewohnt ist, ist dieser alte Schinken ein bisschen zu langweilig. Deshalb nur 3 Punkte. Obwohl die Story sehr gut ist, werden die Szenen doch unnötig in die Länge gezogen und dies führt zu einer leichten Teilnahmslosigkeit. Beeindruckend ist allemal, wie aus der anfänglichen Schlange, dem Biest Gilda eine doch sympathische Frau wird.

Soren resists the intentions of the "purest" and does not want to be one of them, so he is singled out for menial jobs. He befriends with the little owl Gylfie. Together they survive the moon gazing at which all slaves (young owls) participate. So they get moonstruck, which makes them submissive. The gloomy kingdom is commanded by Metal Beak, who once lost a big fight and since then wears a metal mask to hide his scars. His plan is the exclusive power of the "pure" over the whole realm. Soren and Gylfie get unofficial flight lessons from Grimbel, which is the only good owl in St. Aegolius. The two owls managed to escape and now the former bedtime story becomes a true story. They have to fly to the sea, somewhere there is the Ga'Hool tree, which belongs Guardian Owls. They encounter the Great Grey Owl Morning Grey (which is a little poet), Digger and the beloved snail Mrs. Plithiver. A big storm is coming, will they find the Ga'Hool tree to tell the guards about iron beak's gloomy plans?
Visually a masterpiece. The story is a bit predictable, but a really nice movie for the whole family.

Soren widerstrebt dem Sinn der "Reinsten" und möchte nicht einer von ihnen gemacht werden, deshalb wird er aussortiert für niedere Arbeiten. Er freundet sich mit der kleinen Eule Gylfie an. Zusammen überstehen sie das Mondgucken, zu dem alle Sklavenjungeulen gezwungen werden und das willenlos und gefügig macht durch die entstandene Mondsucht. Regiert wird das düstere Eulenreich von Eisenschnabel, der einst einen großen Kampf verlor und seitdem eine metallene Maske trägt um seine Narben zu verbergen. Sein Plan ist die alleinige Herrschaft der "Reinen" über das gesamte Reich. Soren und Gylfie bekommen inoffizielle Flugstunden von Grimbel, der die einzige gute Eule im Sankt Ägolius darstellt. Beiden Eulen gelingt die Flucht und nun webt sich die einstige "Kult"- GuteNachtGeschichte zu einer wahren Geschichte. Sie müssen an das Meer fliegen, irgendwo dort ist der Ga'Hool Baum, welcher Wächter-Eulen gehört. Sie begegnen dem Bartkauz Morgengrau (der eine poetische Ader besitzt), dem Höhlenkauz Digger und ihrer alten geliebten Nesthälterschlange Mrs. Plithiver. Ein großer Sturm zieht auf, werden sie den Ga'Hool-Baum finden, um die Wächter von dort von Eisenschnabels düsteren Plänen zu berichten?

This documentation is divided into two parts. The first part examines Amy's first music recordings, her childhood and social milieu. We see her as a healthy young woman, "with the singer-talent of an old soul" which is extremely rare. This is her undoing. The second part looks at the continuing downward spiral, for Amy is not solely responsible.
To watch this is hard, you are constantly annoyed by bad decisions.
You get annoyed that her boyfriend Blake has hooked her.
You get annoyed, as Amy opting for a withdrawal, but still catches up to her father's blessing, he says that she does not need a withdrawal.
You get annoyed about the dehumanizing flashbulbs once Amy puts one foot on the road. An extreme psychological terror!
You get annoyed that Amy is forced to occur in Serbia, although she's tired of the old songs. But the money machine has to run on. The appearance will be a disaster. Amy appears totally drunken and sings no line.
You get annoyed that Amy's father during holidays (so Amy can recover from the press) brings a camera crew for TV show.
You get annoyed that Blake (Amy's friend) brings heroin for Amy into the rehab clinic.
You get annoyed, that nobody has seriously talked to her about her bulimia and has explained that this leads to serious cardiac arrhythmia.
Impressive is Amy's testimony before the success, when she was asked whether she gets famous. She says: "I'm not gonna get famous, and if I do, I could not handle it I think I would go mad..."
And at the end, shortly before her death she said: "If I could trade all the success, against a life where I could walk normally through the streets, I would do it."
Here Amy incorporate with Kurdt Cobain. Both were too labile and too young for the success, and at the same time they were too talented for getting not successful.

Man ärgert sich, dass ihr Freund Blake sie angefixt hat.
Man ärgert sich, dass, als Amy sich für einen Entzug entscheidet, aber noch den Segen ihres Vaters einholt, dieser sagt, sie bräuchte keinen Entzug.
Man ärgert sich über das menschenunwürdige Blitzlichtgewitter, sobald Amy einen Fuß auf die Straße setzt. Ein extremer Psychoterror!
Man ärgert sich, dass Amy gezwungen wird in Serbien aufzutreten, obwohl sie die alten Lieder satt hat. Aber die Geldmaschinerie muss weiter laufen. Der Auftritt wird eine Katastrophe. Amy erscheint stockbesoffen und singt keine Zeile.
Man ärgert sich, dass Amys Vater in ihrem gemeinsamen Urlaub (damit Amy sich von der Presse erholen kann) ein Kamerateam für seine TV-Show mitbringt.
Man ärgert sich, dass Blake (Amys Freund) Heroin für Amy in die Entzugsklinik mitbringt.
Man ärgert sich, dass niemand ernsthaft mit ihr über ihre Bulimie geredetet hat und ihr erklärt hat, dass das zu ernsten Herzrythmusstörungen führt.
Beeindruckend ist Amys Aussage vor dem Erfolg, als sie gefragt wurde ob sie berühmt wird. Sie sagt: "Ich werde nicht berühmt. Und wenn doch, könnte ich damit nicht umgehen. Ich glaube ich würde verrückt werden."
Und am Schluß, kurz vor ihrem Tod sagte sie: "Wenn ich all den Erfolg eintauschen könnte, gegen ein Leben, wo ich normal durch die Straßen laufen könnte, würde ich es machen."
Hier gliedert sich Amy mit Kurdt Cobain ein. Beide waren zu labil und zu jung für den Erfolg, und gleichzeitig zu talentiert um nicht erfolgreich zu sein.

Man ärgert sich über das menschenunwürdige Blitzlichtgewitter, sobald Amy einen Fuß auf die Straße setzt. Ein extremer Psychoterror!
Man ärgert sich, dass Amy gezwungen wird in Serbien aufzutreten, obwohl sie die alten Lieder satt hat. Aber die Geldmaschinerie muss weiter laufen. Der Auftritt wird eine Katastrophe. Amy erscheint stockbesoffen und singt keine Zeile.
Man ärgert sich, dass Amys Vater in ihrem gemeinsamen Urlaub (damit Amy sich von der Presse erholen kann) ein Kamerateam für seine TV-Show mitbringt.
Man ärgert sich, dass Blake (Amys Freund) Heroin für Amy in die Entzugsklinik mitbringt.
Man ärgert sich, dass niemand ernsthaft mit ihr über ihre Bulimie geredetet hat und ihr erklärt hat, dass das zu ernsten Herzrythmusstörungen führt.
Beeindruckend ist Amys Aussage vor dem Erfolg, als sie gefragt wurde ob sie berühmt wird. Sie sagt: "Ich werde nicht berühmt. Und wenn doch, könnte ich damit nicht umgehen. Ich glaube ich würde verrückt werden."
Und am Schluß, kurz vor ihrem Tod sagte sie: "Wenn ich all den Erfolg eintauschen könnte, gegen ein Leben, wo ich normal durch die Straßen laufen könnte, würde ich es machen."
Hier gliedert sich Amy mit Kurdt Cobain ein. Beide waren zu labil und zu jung für den Erfolg, und gleichzeitig zu talentiert um nicht erfolgreich zu sein.

Manuelas Sohn Esteban hat Geburtstag und wünscht sich ein Autogramm der Schauspielerin Huma Rojo. Bei strömenden Regen wartet er mit seiner Mutter auf Huma, die jedoch keine Aufmerksamkeit für ihn hat und mit dem Wagen davonfährt. Esteban rennt ihr hinterher und wird von einem Auto erfasst. Manuela, die als Krankenschwester Transplantionsvorgänge koordiniert, ist diesmal selbst betroffen, indem sie das Herz ihres Sohnes spendet. Durch Akteneinsicht erfährt sie die Adresse des Organempfängers und reist zu ihm, sie "folgt dem Herzen ihres Sohnes". Durch den Tod ihres Sohnes braucht sie eine Veränderung und verlässt ihre Arbeit und ihre Stadt um in Madrid den Vater ihres Sohnes zu suchen, der als Frau lebt. Dabei trifft sie allerlei Personen (u.a. Agrado und Rosa), in deren Geschichten sie verstrickt wird und es entwickelt sich eine Dynamik, die sie weitestgehend von ihrem großen Verlust ablenkt. Wie das Leben eben so spielt.
Ein bedeutender Film! Spannend! Schwer und leicht zugleich! Nüchtern und hart, doch zugleich voller Engelsgüte (Manuela) und Lebenslust (Agrado). Unbedingt anschauen!
It's Manuela's son Esteban's birthday and he wants an autograph from the actress Huma Rojo. In the pouring rain, he waits with his mother for Huma, but she has no attention for him and drives off with the car. Esteban runs after her and gets hit by a car. Manuela, who coordinates Transplantation processes as a nurse is, this time directly affected by donating her son's heart. Through access to the file she learns the address of the organ recipient and travels to him, to "follow the heart of her son". Through her son's death she needs a change and leaves her work and her city to travel to Madrid searching for the father of Esteban, who lives as a woman. She meets all kinds of people (including Agrado and Rosa), in whose stories she becomes involved and it develops a momentum that largely distracts her of the great loss. How life goes.
An important film! Thrilling! Heavy and easy at the same time! Prosaic and hard, but also full of angel's kindness (Manuela) and lust for life (Agrado). A Must-see!
