Mr. Kringle is the new Santa Claus of the shopping center "Coles". Coles experienced great sales the competition wants prevent. Mr. Kringle claims to be the real Santa Claus and the competing mall suggests Mr. Kringle a trick by presenting him in the newspapers as insane and dangerous. Furthermore, the film is about the couple Dorey and Bryan. They get closer by the Santa Claus. Also Doreys daughter Susan gets a "believer".
 
Moderate Christmas movie, which lacks the real Christmas magic. Instead one sees Santa Claus in court.

  Mr. Kringle ist der neue Weihnachtsmann des Einkaufszentrums "Coles". Coles erlebt große Umsätze und die Konkurrenz möchte das verhindern. Mr. Kringle erhebt den Anspruch der echte Weihnachtsmann zu sein und das konkurrierende Einkaufszentrum  schlägt Mr. Kringle ein Schnippchen, indem sie ihn  in der Zeitung als geisteskrank und gefährlich darstellen lassen.  Desweiteren  handelt der Film von dem Pärchen Dorey und Bryan, die durch den Weihnachtsmann näher zusammengebracht werden. Auch Doreys Tochter Susan wird zu einer "Gläubigen".

Mittelmäßiger Weihnachtsfilm, dem es an der echten Weihnachtsmagie mangelt. Stattdessen sieht man den Weihnachtsmann vor Gericht.

A country singer (Didier) and a tattoo artist (Elise) fall in love. Elise also begins to sing in Didier's bluegrass band. But then she is unexpectedly pregnant. She bears Maybelle. Maybelle gets leukemia and the couple's happiness is destroyed. On stage they can live out their emotions. The narrative structure of the film is not chronological. The many flashbacks realize how big and beautiful the love of the nuclear family was.

Ein Countrysänger (Didier) und eine Tätowiererin (Elise) verlieben sich ineinander. Elise fängt ebenfalls an zu singen in Didiers Bluegrass-Band. Doch dann wird sie unerwartet schwanger. Sie gebiert Maybelle. Maybelle erkrankt an Leukämie und das Glück des Paares wird zerstört. Auf der Bühne können sie ihre Emotionen ausleben. Die Erzählstruktur des Filmes ist nicht chronologisch. Durch die vielen Rückblenden wird klar, wie groß und schön die Liebe der Kleinfamilie war.

Blade

Blade, a half essence of vampire and human roams through the streets at night to eradicate vampires. He gets support from "Whistler", a scientist who is constantly trying to invent new weapons against vampires. The doctor Karen Janson joins them after she was bitten and tries to configure a medicine against their vampire vein. Even Blade constantly needs a serum to fight his bloodlust. Then there is the opponent "Frost", a vampire who tries to take over the world to himself by re-awakened the old blood god La Magra.

The film shows little intelligence. Only Blade and his equipment seems to be worth seeing.

Blade, ein Halbwesen aus Vampir und Mensch streift nachts durch die Straßen um Vampire auszurotten. Dabei bekommt er Unterstützung von "Whistler", einem Wissenschaftler, der ständig versucht neue Waffen gegen Vampire zu erfinden. Die Ärztin Karen Janson schließt sich ihnen an, nachdem sie gebissen wurde und versucht eine Medizin gegen ihre vampirische Ader zu konfigurieren. Auch Blade braucht ständig ein Serum, um seinen Blutdurst zu bekämpfen. Dann ist da noch der Gegenspieler "Frost", ein Vampir, der versucht die Weltherrschaft an sich zu reißen, indem er den alten Blutgott La Magra wiedererweckt. 

Der Film zeigt wenig Intelligenz. Nur Blade und seine Ausrüstung scheint sehenswert zu sein.

Ray and Gary want to rake in the big bucks by selling the autopsy film of an alien after Roswell misfortune to the public, which they buy by a camera-man in the States. Unfortunately, the original suffers of quality during the journey-return. They dont want  to disappoint the lender (which has sufficient potential to blow out  their lifes), so they get the idea to recreate the autopsy ...

amusing and thrilling. 

 Ray und Gary wollen das große Geld scheffeln, indem sie den  Obduktionsfilm eines Aliens nach dem Roswell-Unglück, dem sie einem Kameramann in Amerika abkaufen, an die Öffentlichkeit verkaufen. Leider  leidet das Original während der Rückreise an Qualität. Da sie aber  ihren Kreditgeber nicht enttäuschen wollen (dieser verfügt über genügend Potenzial  beiden das Leben auszupusten), kommen sie auf die Idee, die Obduktion nachzustellen...

Amüsant und spannend.

Vada grows up as the daughter of an undertaker and is confronted daily with death, so she developes a hypochondria and almost daily runs to the doctor with new "causes of death". There are summer holidays and her father Harry gets female support by the beautician Shelly. Vada feels neglected by her father, as he gives Shelly more attention. Vada spends her free time with the same age Thomas J., but is secretly in love with her English teacher Mr. Bixler. He leads a writing courses during the holidays and Vada steals the money from Shellys cookie jar. Harry and Shelly fall in love ...

Wonderful family movie. 

 Vada wächst als Tochter eines Bestattungsunternehmers auf und wird täglich mit dem Tod konfrontiert, wodurch sie eine Hypochondrie entwickelte und fast täglich  zum Doktor rennt mit immer neuen "Todesursachen". Es sind Sommerferien und ihr Vater Harry bekommt weibliche Unterstützung von  Kosmetikerin Shelly. Vada fühlt sich von ihrem Vater vernachlässigt , da  er  Shelley mehr Aufmerksamkeit zuteil lässt. Vada  verbringt ihre Freizeit mit dem gleichaltrigen Thomas J.,  ist aber insgeheim verliebt  in ihren Englischlehrer Mr. Bixler. Dieser führt einen Dichterkurs in den Ferien und Vada stiehlt das Geld dafür aus Shellys Keksdose. Harry und Shelly verlieben sich...

The film analyzes the poem "Howl" by Allen Ginsberg. Ginsbergs lectures and interviews are mixed with extracts from the trial - as the poem was too obscene for the time - and with animated illustrations that reflect the poetic images. Succeeded.

Der Film analysiert das Gedicht "Howl" von Allen Ginsberg. Dabei werden  Vorträge und Interviews von Ginsberg gemischt mit Auszügen aus der Gerichtsverhandlung - da das Gedicht zu obszön für die Zeit war - und mit Zeichentrickdarstellungen, die die poetischen Bilder widerspiegeln. Gelungen.

Rain Man

Charlie Babbitt, a young entrepreneur, experiences after the death of his father, that he still has a brother (Raymond), who has inherited the multimillion dollar fortune of the father (or his guardian because Raymond lives in a clinic for the mentally handicapped). Charlie feels betrayed and "kidnappes" his brother, so as to extract a million dollar, but during the trip Charlie builds an intimate relationship with Raymond.

It bugs how Charlie at the beginning deals with his brother. But Raymond's behavior is annoying too. A film about the autistic syndrome, but not a "must-see".

 Charlie Babbitt, ein  Jungunternehmer, erfährt  nach dem Tod seines Vaters, dass er noch einen Bruder besitzt (Raymond), der das  millionenschwere Vermögen des Vaters vererbt hat (bzw. sein Vormund, denn  Raymond  lebt in einer Klinik für geistig Behinderte).  Charlie fühlt sich betrogen und "kidnapped" seinen Bruder, um  so seinen  Anteil zu erpressen, doch während der Reise baut  Charlie eine innige Beziehung zu Raymond auf. 

Es nervt wie Charlie am Anfang mit seinem Bruder umgeht. Aber auch Raymond's Verhalten ist nervend. Ein Film über das autistische Syndrom . Deshalb trotzdem kein "Must-See".

Frank Fowler, aspiring architecture student and son of a music teacher and a doctor falls in love with a married woman and mother. The husband did not like it and it comes to riots, which destroyes the sheltered and vivid family life of the Fowlers .

The Independend film, which portrays  in still camera settings the small-town-idyll and leans on European cinema, throws, in a fraction of a second, such a curve! And from the previously boring images it developes to a war of nerves of the protagonists.

 Frank Fowler, angehender Architekturstudent und Sohn einer  Musiklehrerin und eines Doktors verliebt sich in eine verheiratete Frau und Mutter. Dem Ehemann gefällt das überhaupt nicht und es kommt zu Ausschreitungen, die das behütete und
anschauliche Familienleben der Fowlers zerstörrt.

Der Independend-Film, der in ruhigen Kameraeinstellungen die Kleinstadt-Idylle porträtiert und sich am europäischen Kino anlehnt, bringt einen im Bruchteil einer Sekunde völlig aus der Ruhe  und aus dem bisher langweiligen Bildern entwickelt sich ein  Nervenkrieg der Protagonisten.
