The first humans land on Mars. Unfortunately Sarah, the head of the crew is pregnant. Under the staff of Mr. Stepherd, the boss of the company, it is decided that the boy, due to the atmospheric condition of Mars, is not able to live a life on Earth and he must remain on Mars. He is called Gardner and chats in his spare time with Tulsa, a girl from the earth. When Gardner gets allowed to land on earth, he has to stay in quarantine there. When further investigations are arranged on his body, he escapes and searches for Tulsa ...

A really nice teenage film, which serves everything - adventure, romance, identity search. A great script that has a lot of potential. The implementation is nice. Yes, almost naive. I never found him too kitschy, he reveals a lot of truism, but its not less real. The film is consistently very exciting. Very nicely done. Especially recommended for teenagers. Asa Butterfield, who also played the Hugo Cabret, is once again top. Very satisfying end. A nice entertainment.

Die ersten Menschen landen auf dem Mars. Leider ist Sarah, die Leiterin der Crew schwanger. Unter dem Stab von  Mr. Stepherd, dem Chef des Unternehmens, wird entschieden, dass der Junge, aufgrund der atmosphärischen Bedingung des Mars, einem Leben auf der Erde nicht gewachsen ist und er auf dem Mars bleiben muss. Er heißt Gardner und chattet in seiner Freizeit mit Tulsa, einem Mädchen von der Erde.  Als Gardner doch noch zur Erde darf, muss  er erst mal dort in Quarantäne bleiben. Als weitere Untersuchungen an seinem Körper angeordnet werden, flüchtet er und sucht Tulsa...

Eine richtig schöner Teenagerfilm, der alles bedient - Abenteuer, Romanze, Identitätssuche. Ein großartiges Drehbuch, dass viel Potenzial hat. Die Umsetzung ist schön. Ja, fast naiv. Nie fand ich ihn zu kitschig, er offenbart zwar viel Binsenweisheiten, diese sind aber nicht weniger real. Der Film ist durchweg sehr spannend. Sehr gelungen. Vor allem für Teenager zu empfehlen. Asa Butterfield, der auch den Hugo Cabret spielte, ist mal wieder spitze. Sehr befriedigendes Ende. Eine schöne Unterhaltung.
