Mr. Pembroke, CEO of a large US company, has traveled to Switzerland to do a wellness treatment there. He writes the company a cryptic letter. Lockhart gets the order to return him to America because the company wants to merge. Lockhart, however, falls into a car accident, and now becomes a patient of the ominous hotel. He gradually learns the history of this place and doubts about the methods of the cure ...

This thriller, shot in Germany and paid from an European funding, is characterized by its fresh and hypnotic style,  the electric atmosphere and shuddering moments. Unfortunately, he drifts towards an unsatisfactory melodramatic end and leaves us behind questioning, what now becomes from Lockhart. It would have been nice to see him in America again, or elsewhere. Otherwise a good thriller. Dane DeHaan is acting great.

Mr. Pembroke, Vorstandsvorsitzender eines großen US-Unternehmens ist in die Schweiz gereist, um dort eine Wellnesskur zu machen. Er schreibt dem Unternehmen einen kryptischen Brief. Lockhart soll ihn nach Amerika zurückholen, weil das Unternehmen fusionieren möchte. Lockhart gerät aber in einen Autounfall, und wird nun selbst Patient des ominösen Hotels. Nach und nach erfährt er die Geschichte zu diesem Ort und zweifelt an den Methoden der Kur.

Dieser In Deutschland gedrehte und mit europäischen Fördergeldern bezahlte Thriller zeichnet sich durch seinen frischen und hypnotischen Stil aus und spannungsgeladene Psychospiele sowie Schaudermomente. Leider driftet er gegen Ende in eine unbefriedigende Melodramatik ab und hinterlässt einen fragend, was nun aus Lockhart wird. Gerne hätte man gesehen, wie er in Amerika wieder Fuß fasst, oder sonst wo. Ansonsten ein guter Thriller. Dane DeHaan spielt hervorragend.
