God lives with his wife and daughter Ea in Brussels. He beats his daughter and has no respect for his wife. On the computer, he manipulates mankind by making life more difficult with foolish commands. To take revenge on her father, Ea secretly goes into the father's computer room and sends every earth citizen by SMS the respective date of death. After that she talks to her deceased brother Jesus (here in the form of a porcelain figure), who advises her to go away and find six apostles. Through a secret passage through the washing machine drum, Ea finds herself outside in a wash-house and make familiar with a homeless man who accompanies her way and writes the "brand new testament" by dictating from Ea.

A grotesque comedy that destroys the magical realism that transcends the film, which is a pity. A woman who is consciously inviting the man who wanted to kill her or another woman who has a relationship with a gorilla makes the credibility of this film slip into the ground. And the hanger, this is about God, is only a deception. The film does not provide any intelligent reference to the religious world, but rather blows the figure of God to a beating grimace of a hate-filled dissident. This film was not nominated with an Oscar, with reason.

Gott lebt mit seiner Frau und seiner Tochter Ea in Brüssel. Er schlägt seine Tochter und  hat keine Achtung vor seiner Frau. Am Computer manipuliert er die Menschheit, indem er ihnen  mit närrischen Geboten das Leben  erschwert.  Um sich an ihren Vater zu rächen, geht Ea heimlich in das Computerzimmer  des Vaters und sendet jedem Erdenbürger per SMS das jeweilige Sterbedatum.  Danach spricht sie mit ihrem verstorbenen Bruder Jesus (hier in Gestalt einer Porzellanfigur), der ihr rät abzuhauen und  sechs Apostel zu finden.  Durch einen Geheimgang mittels der Waschmaschinentrommel findet Ea nach draußen in einen Waschsalon und macht Bekanntschaft mit einem Obdachlosen, der ihren Weg begleitet und das "brandneue Testament"  schreibt,  indem Ea ihm diktiert....

Eine groteske Komödie, die durch ihre überzogenen Ideen  den magischen Realismus zerstört, der den Film durchzieht, was sehr schade ist. Eine Frau, die sich mit dem Mann bewusst einlässt, der sie töten wollte oder eine andere Frau, die eine Beziehung mit einem Gorilla anfängt, lässt die Glaubhaftigkeit dieses Films ins Bodenlose rutschen. Und der Aufhänger, hier geht es um Gott, ist nur  eine Täuschung. Der Film liefert keineswegs kluge Bezüge zur religiösen Welt sondern verhornballt die Gestalt Gottes zu einer prügelnden Fratze eines  hasserfüllten Dissidenten. Mit Recht wurde dieser Film nicht mit einem Oscar nominiert.
