Barnabas lover got occupied by the witch Angelique with a curse and plunges off the cliffs. Barnabas falls behind but does not die but is an Undead. He is buried alive in a coffin and this gets opened again until 200 years later. Barnabas kills all 11 construction workers, as he has great bloodlust. He embarks on its ancient estate, which has suffered greatly because Angelique now has the leading canned fish factory. Elizabeth Collins now lives with her daughter there and Elizabeth's brother and his son, and the psychiatrist Julia Hoffman and caretaker Willie. Barnabas is presented as Distant relative from England and falls in love with the new Gouverante Victoria.

 A mediocre Burton movie.

 Barnabas Geliebte wird von der Hexe Angelique mit einem Fluch belegt und stürzt sich von den Klippen. Barnabas stürzt hinterher, stirbt aber nicht, sondern wird ein Untoter. Er wird in einem Sarg lebend begraben und  200 Jahre später erst wieder geöffnet.  Barnabas tötet alle 11 Bauarbeiter, da er großen Blutdurst hat. Er begibt sich auf sein altes Anwesen, welches stark gelitten hat, denn Angelique besitzt jetzt die führende Fischkonserven-Fabrik.  Elizabeth Collins lebt jetzt mit ihrer Tochter dort  und Elizabeths Bruder sowie sein Sohn, sowie die Psychiaterin Julia Hoffman und Hausmeister Willie.  Barnabas wird als Entfernter Verwandter aus England vorgestellt  und verliebt sich in die neue Gouverante Victoria.
