 Andy Serkis plays here incredibly talented with the "Performance Capture Technology" the chimpanzee Caesar. A consistently exciting science fiction film and convincing in his message.

Will arbeitet bei einer Pharmafirma, bestrebt ein neues Mittel gegen Alzheimer zu finden. Sein neues Mittel ALZ-12 wird an Schimpansen getestet und zeigt Erfolge im kognitiven Bereich des Affen, doch leider wird dieser dann aggressiv und wird erschossen. Das Kind dieses Affens rettet Will und nimmt es zuhause auf. Er nennt ihn Caesar. Caesar zeigt herausragende kognitive Fähigkeiten. Da Will's Vater an Alzheimer erkrankt ist, forscht Will emsig, um ein Heilmittel zu finden. Er erfindet ALZ-13 und ihm werden weitere Forschungsgelder zugesprochen. Bald verabreicht er seinem Vater ALZ-13 und dieser fängt an, aufzublühen. Derweilen richtet Caesar Unheil an, und muss zwecks richterlicher Anordnung ins Tierheim...

 Andy Serkis  spielt hier mittels "Performance Capture Technology" unglaublich talentiert den Schimpansen Caesar. Ein durchweg spannender Science-Fiction-Film und in seiner Botschaft überzeugend.

Zwischen dem Beziehungszwist werden immer wieder Szenen gezeigt, aus der Zeit, als beide ein Paar wurden...

Das Scheitern einer Ehe wird hier in besonders tiefgründiger und realistischer Weise dargestellt von zwei Ausnahmeschauspielern, Michelle Williams und Ryan Gosling. Überzeugend spielen sie das zerrüttete Ehepaar, das krampfhaft versucht, wieder zueinander zu finden. Absolut sehenswert!

 What a bummer. A pity about the 5 euro. I thought Jim Jarmusch movies are a guarantee for cinema quality and then something like that! Nothing happens. Yes, it is about poetry. But the film is so static, here and there a good line. But so far from reality, though yes, exactly this should be captured with poetic moments. Find a bus driver writing  poems ... a simple man who writes poems. If he does, then he's more like a hipster. But as a hipster, Adam Driver does not play credible. The whole is a farce. A facticious film. No working class movie. Disgustingly complacent, sentimental, and unyielding perspires pregnant with meaning. Is this art or can that get thrown away?

Die Zeitspanne der gezeigten Geschichte um Paterson, einem Busfahrer und Dichter und seiner Freundin beträgt eine Woche. Die Hälfte der Woche vergeht ziemlich gleichförmig. Paterson geht zur Arbeit, danach spricht er mit seiner Freundin. Dann geht er mit dem Hund Gassi und geht in die Kneipe. In den Arbeitspausen versucht er sich als Dichter...

Was für eine Lachnummer. Schade um die 5 Euro. Da denkt man, Jim Jarmusch Filme sind ein Garant für Kinoqualität und dann sowas!
Da passiert gar nichts. Ja, es geht um Poesie. Aber der Film ist so statisch, hier und da eine gute Zeile. Aber so weit weg von der Realität, obwohl ja genau diese eingefangen werden soll mit poetischen Momenten. Finden sie mal einen Busfahrer der Gedichte schreibt... ein einfacher Mann, der Gedichte schreibt. Wenn es einer tut, dann eher ein Hipster. Aber als Hipster spielt Adam Driver nicht glaubwürdig. Das ganze ist eine Farce. Ein gekünstelter Film. Kein Working-Class-Film. Widerlich selbstgefällig, sentimental und unnachgiebig persifliert bedeutungsschwanger. Ist das Kunst oder kann das weg?

A shallow comedy, which dabbles moseyed in front of you and unfolds its comedy potential first in the middle of the film. But especially here, as often happens, its about two people who find each other in a rather unusual way.

Es ist das Jahr 2004. Es sind Präsidentschaftswahlen. John veranstaltet Wahlkampf für den Kanditaten John Kerry. Als er betrunken bei einer Wahlveranstaltung sagt, er würde nach Canada auswandern, falls Bush wiedergewählt wird, wird er dieses dann (erst wiederwillig) bewahrheiten. Er sucht einen Mitfahrer und findet Chloe. Zusammen fahren sie nach Winnipeg, um dort bei einer "Heirate-Einen-Canadier"-Party mitzumachen...

Eine seichte Komödie, die so vor sich hinplätschert und erst in der Mitte des Films sein Comedy-Potential entfaltet. Doch vorallem geht es hier wie so oft um zwei Menschen, die zueinander finden auf eher ungewöhnlichen Weg.

Several stories are told in parallel. All tell about the dangers of the internet. Nina, a reporter, discovers an internet site where teenagers get naked for money and satisfy the sexual needs of the voyeur. She meets with one of him, Kyle. He agrees to give an anonymous interview, but when Nina gets blackmailed by the FBI, she has to surrender Kyle's address, which leads to difficulties. In the second story Jason and Frye create a girl profile on Facebook and cheat the geek Ben. He thinks a girl likes him. When the two bring him to shoot a naked photo of himself and spread this at school, Ben reaches out to the extreme. The third story is about Cindy and Derek, whose online activities cause someone to know their credit card details and overcheck the account. They hire the private detective Mike (Jason's father) to track down the intriguer, but are led to a wrong track.

This film with an excellent theatrical performance convinces with its editing, narrative structure and the theme topicality. Its telling about the consequences of the transparency in the world wide web and also about cybermobbing. All three stories are in a very depressed tone and ten minutes before the end, the tension gets released into a final and action-packed end.

Mehrere Geschichten werden parallel erzählt. Alle Handeln von den Gefahren des Internets. Nina, eine Reporterin, entdeckt eine Internetseite auf der sich Teenager für Geld ausziehen und befriedigen. Sie trifft sich mit einem von ihm, Kyle. Er willigt ein, anonym ein Interview zu geben, doch als Nina vom FBI erpresst wird, muss sie Kyle's Adresse preisgeben, was zu Schwierigkeiten führt. In der zweiten Geschichte kreieren Jason und Frye ein Mädchenprofil auf Facebook und führen den Aussenseiter Ben gehörig hinters Licht. Er denkt, ein Mädchen mag ihn. Als die beiden ihn dazu bringen ein Nacktfoto von sich zu schießen und dieses in der Schule verbreiten, greift Ben zum Äußersten.  In der dritten Geschichte geht es um Cindy und Derek, deren Onlineaktivitäten dazu führen, dass irgend jemand ihre Kreditkartenangaben kennt und diese überzieht. Sie beauftragen den Privatdedektiv  Mike (Jasons Vater) um den Intriganten aufzuspüren, werden aber auf eine falsche Fährte  geführt. 

Dieser Film mit einer excellenten Schauspielergarde überzeugt durch Schnitt, Erzählstruktur und Themenaktualität. Hier wird auf die Konsequenzen der Transparenz im Netz aufmerksam gemacht und ebenfalls auf Cybermobbing. Alle drei Erzählungen geraten in einen sehr deprimierten Grundton und erst am Ende des Films, zehn Minuten vor Schluß entlädt sich die Spannung in ein finales und aktionreiches Ende.

Rhoda is approved for MIT. She does joyfully celebrates this and drives home drunk by car. When the radio reportes about the "second earth", a new planet on the horizon, which is possibly inhabited, she looks upwards to see him and causes an accident in which Rhoda run into a second car. John Burroughs pregnant wife dies and also their daughter. He get's seriously injured. Rhoda must be in prison for 4 years. After that, she starts a job as a janitor in a school. Hardly bitten by bitterness and searching for forgiveness, she begins to work at John's home as housecleaner. She pretends to confess to him that she was the one who caused the accident, but does not manage it. Meanwhile, a space travel agency assigns a subscriber for the visit of "Earth 2". For this you have to write a short essay. Rhoda takes part and hopes to face "Earth 2", her double, which has not caused an accident ...

Mediocre low-budget movie, depicting in gloomy mood guilt and the hope of forgiveness. The actor's performance is also only mediocre. The idea of ​​a second earth is certainly interesting. The question is only if, as you see in the film, everyone has a double, but the "Rhoda 2" on "Earth 2" should have also caused the accident. In addition, the character development isnt really elaborated. About John Burroughs  you cant assume that he is a teacher and piano virtuoso. Brit Marling's facial expression is often stiff, expressionless.

Danach fängt sie eine Stelle als Hausmeisterin in einer Schule an. Schwer von Gebissensbissen geplagt und nach Vergebung suchend, fängt sie bei John an zu putzen. Sie nimmt sich vor, es ihm zu gestehen, dass sie diejenige war, die den Unfall verursacht hat, schafft es dann aber doch nicht. Derweilen vergibt eine Raumfahrtbehörde einen Teilnehmerplatz für den Besuch von "Erde 2". Dafür muss man einen kurzen Aufsatz verfassen. Rhoda nimmt teil und hofft auf "Erde 2", ihrem Double zu begegnen, welches nicht einen Unfall verursacht hat...

Mittelmäßiger Low-Budget-Movie, der in trübsinniger Stimmung Schuldigkeit und die Hoffnung auf Vergebung darstellt. Die schauspielerische Leistung ist ebenfalls nur mittelmäßig. Die Idee einer zweiten Erde ist sicher interessant. Die Frage ist nur, wenn, wie man im Film sieht, jeder ein Double hat, müsste doch die "Rhoda 2" auf "Erde 2" ebenfalls den Unfall verursacht haben. Außerdem lässt die Charakterausarbeitung zu wünschen übrig. John Burroughs nimmt man nicht richtig ab, dass er Lehrer und Pianovirtuose ist. Brit Marlings Mimik ist oft starr, ausdruckslos.

At last he had torn a woman's dress, and he was accused of raping her. Both get persecuted, but they manage to escape. When Lenny arrives at the next farm, Lenny finds himself in trouble again ...
 
A classic, emotional and very tragic film about an unusual friendship. At that time there were hardly any dormitories for mentally handicapped, but only the psychiatry. We see here a man who is not created for an ordinary environment, because of his abnormalities, although he always has the good in mind.

 George  begleitet den  geistig behinderten Lenny. Zusammen arbeiten sie währrend der Zeit der Weltwirtschaftskrise auf Farmen um dann ein Grundstück zu erwerben. Doch Lenny fängt jedesmal Schwierigkeiten an. Zuletzt hatte er das Kleid einer Frau zerrissen und dadurch wurde ihm Vergewaltigung vorgeworfen. Beide werden verfolgt doch schaffen es zu flüchten. Bei der nächsten Farm angekommen gerät Lenny  abermals in  Sperenzien...

Ein klassischer, gefühlvoller und sehr tragischer Film über  eine ungewöhnliche Freundschaft. Damals gab es  kaum Wohnheime für Geistig-Behinderte, sondern nur die Psychiatrie. Wir sehen hier einen Menschen, der für eine gewöhnliche Umgebung, wegen seiner Abnormitäten nicht geschaffen ist, obwohl er stets das Gute im Sinn hat. 

Black Swan

Pjotre Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake" is performed in New York with a new Swan queen, as the former  queen has its best times behind her. In the play the white and the black swan are danced by the same ballerina. For this Nina is very busy and manages to convince the critical dance director Thomas. However, he sees in her only potential as a white swan and less than as a black, who must manage to release control and seduce the prince. At home, Nina suffers from her very dominant mother, who wants to make her child what she could never become, as her career ended abruptly when she became pregnant. Under great pressure, Nina often scratches her back and nails without realizing. It is  embarrassing to her and she tries to conceal it. Increasingly practicing the black swan, Nina suffers from delusions ...

An impressive work by Mr. Aronofski with a stunning Nathalie Portman. Especially the fantasy elements, the hallucinations, the perfectionist mother superior , the slowly but steadily advancing metarophosis and the strict but sensitive dance teacher lend the film a special touch and make it ever more exciting. That Nathalie Portman creamed off all the prizes by her performance as a suffering artist between child and woman is clearly justified.

Pjotre Tschaikowski's "Schwanensee" wird in New York mit einer neuen Schwanenkönigin aufgeführt, da die Ehemalige ihre besten Zeiten hinter sich hat. Dabei wird in dem Stück der weiße sowie der schwarze Schwan von derselben Ballerina getanzt. Hierfür legt sich Nina sehr ins Zeug und schafft es den kritischen Tanzdirektor Thomas von sich zu überzeugen. Allerdings sieht er bei ihr nur Potenzial als weißen Schwan und weniger als Schwarzen, der es schaffen muss auch Kontrolle abzugeben und den Prinzen zu verführen. Zuhause leidet Nina unter ihrer sie sehr beherrschenden Mutter, die ihr Kind zu dem machen möchte, was sie nie werden konnte, da ihre Karriere abrupt endete als sie schwanger wurde. Unter großem Leistungsdruck leidend kratzt sich Nina öfter am Rücken und an den Nägeln ohne es zu merken, was ihr peinlich ist und sie zu verbergen sucht. Zunehmend den schwarzen Schwan übend leidet Nina an Wahnvorstellungen... 

Ein beeindruckendes Werk von Mr. Aronofski mit einer umwerfenden Nathalie Portman. Besonders die Fantasie-Elemente, die Halluzinationen, die perfektionistische Übermutter, die langsam aber stetig vorantreibende Metarmophose und der strenge, aber einfühlsame Tanzlehrer verleihen dem Film eine besondere Note und machen ihn stetig spannend. Dass Nathalie Portman sämtliche Preise abgeräumt hat durch ihre Performance als leidende Künstlerin zwischen Kind und Frau ist eindeutig gerechtfertigt.

When Emma Adèle picked up from the school, Adèle's classmates attacked her and accused her of being a lesbian. This is disputed by Adèle. Emma is an art student and often uses Adèle as a motif ...

It comes twice to very erotic sex scenes between the two, which last longer than one expects from ordinary movies. Also, in my opinion the film lasts at least 30min too long. The patience of the spectator is stressed here with a 3 hours film about mostly relatively ordinary actions. The film was highly celebrated. Yes, the electrifying moments of the first meetings and touches are well captured with close-ups, but for me, the film does not go beyond a soap opera level , except for a small philosophical consideration of Sartre's thoughts. Of course with the crucial difference that the protagonists can really play. Too bad, if a lesbian would have selected the film as a director, he would probably be better.

Adèle ist 16 Jahre und hat erste sexuelle Erfahrungen mit einem Jungen. Doch kurz nach Beginn der Liaison bricht sie diese wieder ab. Sie trifft in einer Lesbenbar Emma wieder, die ihr schon einmal in der Fußgängerzone aufgefallen war. Besonders wegen ihrer blauen Haare. Sie treffen sich öfter und verlieben sich ineinander. Als Emma Adèle von der Schule abholt, greifen Adèles Klassenkameraden sie an und werfen ihr vor, sie sei lesbisch. Dies bestreitet Adèle. Emma ist Kunststudentin und benutzt Adèle öfter als Motiv... 

Es kommt zweimal zu sehr erotischen Sexszenen zwischen den beiden, die länger andauern, als man von gewöhnlichen Filmen erwartet.  Auch finde ich den Film für mindestens 30min zu lang. Die  Geduld des Zuschauers wird hier strapaziert mit einem 3 Stunden Film und überwiegend relativ gewöhnlichen Aktionen. Der Film wurde hochgefeiert. Ja, die elektrisierenden Momente der ersten Begegnungen und Berührungen sind gut eingefangen mit Nahaufnahmen, aber für mich kommt der Film, ausgenommen eine kleine philosophische Betrachtung über Sartre's Denken, nicht über ein Seifenoperlevel hinaus.  Natürlich mit dem entscheidenden Unterschied, dass die Protagonisten wirklich schauspielern können. Schade, hätte eine Lesbe sich dem Film als Regisseurin angenommen, würde er wahrscheinlich besser ausfallen.
